An example of Gilder’s and Wingding TV’s success is the Ultimate Long Drive Championship. The sporting contest has grown worldwide with more than 1 million views online.

Daly has also had major media successes. He is known as an innovator in mastering new media technology.

“John has been at the forefront of so many new changes happening in the media over the years,” Gohil says.

Back in the 1990s, Daly hosted the first all-video news magazine show called Real TV. The show, according to many, was the precursor to YouTube. It was the first show to use live action caught on tape from camcorders, surveillance video, and police video.

Besides hosting the show, Daly promoted Real TV on shows like Oprah, Geraldo, and The Maury Povich Show which led to ratings of more than 4 million viewers a night at its peak.

Daly has also used his innovation skills to co-create and cohost Undercover Jetsetter. Along with his business partner and Co-host Susan Anzalone, an expert in food and wine, they created a show on travel, food, wine, Mixology, and golf that by-passing traditional video production – and is entirely shot and produced off the iPhone.

They have even written a book how to do it called The TV Studio In Your Hand.

The show averages nearly 30,000 views across a number of social media site and video platforms — including Wingding TV.

Daly will use those techniques on Carolina Buzz to create personal, insightful, and quickly produced segments.

“John is a true professional who gets things done while knowing how to produce segments that people watch,” Gilder says.

Daly was a news, anchor and investigative reporter in the early part of his television career. He took KTNV in Las Vegas, a TV station with very low ratings, to the top of the ratings chart in Southern Nevada. Because of his work, Daly was inducted into the Nevada Broadcasters Hall of Fame in 2017.
