Yup, we did it again.

We pulled together a cocktail with the craziest combo of ingredients.

But it works.

Remember the Zintini

For the record, we’ve done this before.  Remember the Zintini?  We mixed bourbon, Maraschino Liquer, and – wait for it – Zinfandel wine.

The initial response to hearing this? Mixing wine with spirits is considered a no-no, a sin, a crime against mixology.

But no it isn’t.  And the Zintini has become one of our favorites – along with lots of folks who follow us.

Martini Boom

And lately, martinis are exploding in popularity.

  • First, they are sophisticated.
  • Second, Bartenders are getting so creative at mixing so many new ingredients, as craft cocktail bars are springing up all over.
  • Third, martinis are very versatile beyond the gin/vodka, vermouth recipes.

So, now we introduce you to the Parmesan Espresso Martini.

Cheese?! Yup. Coffee?! Yup.  And it works.

Plus, it is fun to make and look at.

The taste profile, though strange, works. The salty and savory flavor of Parmesan cheese can actually complement the bitter and robust flavor of espresso, creating a unique and complex taste experience.

Jetsetter Hacks, Of Course

Now to be honest, there is a similar drink that is a craze on TikTok. We jetsetterized it to make it even better.

We show you how to make the Parmesan infused vodka.  It takes one overnight sitting in the fridge.

Once the vodka is ready, we went to some of our usual go-to ingredients as our unique hacks.

Hack 1: Meyer Lemons

First, we use Meyer Lemons.  The orange-lemon sweetness works perfectly with the parmesan infusion.

Hack 2: Somrus

Another go-to is the Somrus Coffee Liqueur that we’ve had on its own and mixed with a number of other cocktails.

Add to all that, go nuts on grating the Parmesan Cheese. You want it in the drink and on the rim.

This works either as a pre- or after-dinner cocktail.

Give us your experience.  Or give us one of your hacks.
