Those Roars You’re Hearing Today — Not 2018 — Are From Fenway Park

by John Daly | Aug 13, 2025 | blog, Shows, Undercover Jetsetter

Fenway Park is returning as a Bucket List item.

The big reason: The Red Sox are back – and so is Pennant Fever.

And it’s not just wishful thinking for Sox fans like us.

You should consider this a Fall Destination.

After years of going through rebuilding since their 2018 World Series win, Boston’s beloved team is finally making waves again.

With a roster full of rising stars and a few more seasoned vets holding the line, the Sox are in the playoff hunt and Fenway Park is once again the epicenter of baseball magic.

Now, we’ve always said even if you are not a BoSox fan, experiencing Fenway Park is definitely worth it – with the Green Monster, the close views to the baseball diamond, great seats in Centerfield Bleachers, and more than a century of Red Sox history.

But trust me on this, there’s nothing worse for a baseball fan than attending a September game that means nothing.

Today the games mean a lot!  And it looks like for years to come.  And you will feel it when you are there.

This isn’t a lucky streak. The Red Sox investment in young talent is paying off. Prospects like Roman Anthony and Marcelo Mayer are beginning to show their promise, along with a near-established star Jarren Duran.  Added to the now contending team is veteran Alex Bregman providing leadership and clutch hitting, and fire balling Pitcher Garrett Crochet, who is in the running for this year’s Cy Young Award.

The team’s chemistry is clicking, and Boston fans are feeling that old October energy again.

Get tickets here for any Red Sox home game for the remainder of the season.

Some Undercover Jetsetter Booking Tips

  • For Game Tickets: Don’t be worried about the Centerfield Bleachers. Unlike most stadiums, it is affordable, great views, and full of die-hard, fun fans. Check our video segments below.
  • Same Day Tickets: Still doable—just be flexible and ready to move fast at the Fenway ticket office or be on the lookout for scalpers – especially as game time nears when prices will drop.
  • Soak in the History: From Babe Ruth to Ted Williams, Yaz, and Big Papi, Fenway is a living museum.
  • How to Get There: Book a flight to Logan International Airport or the many nearby Beantown Hotels.

Remember, even if you’re not a “Sawwwks” (Boston pronunciation) fan, you should go to experience the Fenway vibe that resonates all through the region.

Here’s why

Prime Time: Late August through October in Boston and throughout New England is heaven.  Crisp mornings, sunny afternoons, and cool evenings perfect for a game under the lights. Whether you’re catching a weekend series or sneaking in a weekday matchup, Fenway in early fall is unbeatable.

Beantown Beyond Baseball: Boston is buzzing—and not just because of the Sox.  There is so much to see and do around the ballpark and throughout Boston’s buzzing atmosphere.

Foodie Galore: Places to eat are more than just food and drink. You’ll savor caught fish and lobsters while talking like locals with no R’s.

Here are some

  • Check out Bleacher Bar on Restaurant.com: Located beneath Fenway’s bleachers, this iconic spot lets you watch the game through a garage window. Great beer, classic ballpark fare, and unbeatable atmosphere.
  • Check out Cask ’n Flagon on Restaurant.com: A Fenway staple known for its stuffed quahogs and lively pre-game crowd – steps away from Fenway.
  • Check out Eastern Standard on Restaurant.com: Also walking blocks from Fenway, this brasserie-style gem serves up a half-stuffed lobster that’s pure New England indulgence.
  • Check out our Boston Eats video for more!

 Where to Stay

  • Book the Freepoint Hotel Cambridge on Booking.com: A stylish, modern hotel near Harvard Square with easy access to Fenway via the Red Line. We show you that in the video segments below.
  • Other Options: Marriott and Hilton all offer great locations and comfort.

Getting Around

Boston’s MBTA system (aka “The T”) is your best friend. Skip the parking headaches and hop on the subway or bus.

We have a full undercover Jetsetter show from 2018 showing you what it is still all about watching a game and sliding headfirst into Beantown culture.

Whether you’re a lifelong Sox fan or just checking off a bucket list item, Fenway in 2025 is a must. The team’s hot, the city’s alive, and the memories are waiting.
