jack-arutes-wind-tunnel-episode-1LET’S GET READY TO RUMBLE- CHASING THE DOUBLE-THE “CAPTAIN”

Maybe the biggest offseason news centered on NASCAR’s decision to move their Clash event from Daytona to the LA Memorial Coliseum on a ¼ mile flat track. This historic event is just days away and Jack checks in with NASCAR’S Dave Allen who is overseeing the event while also prepping Auto Club Speedway where he’s president for the Cup Series post Daytona 500 western swing.

He also visits with Southern California’s unofficial racing Historian Harold Osmer . Osmer is the author of “Where they Raced” a comprehensive compilation of racing in Southern California. I think you might be surprised to learn that auto racing was part of the Coliseum’s early days.

Peyton Sellers parlayed his 2021 National title into a footnote in NASCAR’s home tracks records. Peyton’s First Weekly Racing Series national title came in 2005 when he became the Youngest driver to earn a NASCAR Championship. Last year???? Well, that crown made him the OLDEST driver as well. Peyton and Jack talk about his 2022 plans and also how he is helping other drivers raise their game and polish their race craft.

He is a Captain of Industry as well as Motorsports, Roger Penske enters the Wind Tunnel with Jack for the first time. Roger Penske drops by and you will get his perspective on racing’s future, it’s challenges, his new Diversity initiative as well as his thoughts on the industry as a whole.
