We love variations on a classic cocktail.

The Peach Cosmo Martini is our latest.

The regular Cosmo has vodka, cranberry juice, Triple Sec, and lime.

We went with a Peach Cosmo Martini for a number of reasons.

Jetsetter Recommends

First, our Jetsetter friend Susan Barnes, who you have seen on our St. Martin segments, was in Atlanta and found a peach vodka from the Distillery of Modern Art.  So, we had to try it.

Bottle Art

Second, the bottle is so cool with art adorning the inside of the glass.

Third, the peach infused vodka matches the artwork.  It’s powerful. It can stand alone. So much so, we could even take a high-ball glass, drop in some ice and pour it over – and just sip it.  We even suggested an ounce or two with Prosecco.

Jetsetter Mixology Lab

Fourth, as great as this peach vodka is, and we wanted to shine a spotlight on the spirit, we had a tough time pairing it. So we went to work.

We tried a number of other combinations including Gran Gala, the orange liqueur with brandy, and Maraschino Liqueur, the cherry spirit that screams Hemingway.  But we found that both of them, either alone or together, drowned out the Peach Vodka.

So, as you will see, we went with a simple martini recipe. Sometimes less is better.

Distillery of Modern Art

Fifth, we love the distillery behind this spirit.

The distillery of Modern Art (DMA) is a craft distillery located in Chamblee, Georgia – near Atlanta.

It began operations in 2016, making it a relatively new addition to the city’s growing craft distillery scene.

DMA produces a range of small-batch, hand-crafted spirits, including gin, vodka, and bourbon, as well as liqueurs, bitters, and other specialty products. The distillery uses a state-of-the-art distillation column that allows them to produce high-quality spirits with precise control over the flavor profile.

More Than Vodka

One of DMA’s flagship products is their award-winning gin, called the Gin-Fusion. It blends traditional gin botanicals like juniper, coriander, and angelica root with a unique combination of fresh herbs and fruits such as ginger, rosemary, and citrus, creating a complex and flavorful gin with a unique twist.

In addition to producing their signature spirits, DMA offers tours of the distillery, giving visitors the opportunity to learn about the craft of distillation and sample some of their products. They also have a tasting room and cocktail bar where visitors can enjoy creative cocktails made with their spirits.

So, when we plan our next trip to Atlanta, it will include a tour of DMA.

In the meantime, enjoy the Peach Cosmo Martini.
